Behavioural Design Masterclass: Influence minds and change behaviour
Time & Location
22 Jun, 13:00 – 16:00 BST
About the Event
This masterclass is a collaboration between Revolutionise and SUE Behavioural Design.
What if you had the power to change somebody’s mind? We’ve got good news and bad news for you. The good news: You do. And not just one somebody, but a lot of somebodies.
The bad news: It’s going to take more than a wiggle of your nose or a snap of your finger to unleash that power. It’ll take some work. But, believe us, it’ll be worth it. So, the bad news isn’t really all that bad. The work will take you places you’ve never been before. You won’t want to come back, and you won’t have to.
Whether you want to build better teams, increase sales, win elections, improve sustainability, create disruptive innovations or something else completely, you need to understand behavioural design. That’s what our two-day masterclass, presented in collaboration with SUE Behavioural Design and delivered by master trainer Tim Versnel, is about: the power to persuade.
Psychological innovation is the next frontier - and it’s already here
Here comes the most obvious statement you’ll read this week. Those who understand best what it is that represents real psychological value to people and what it is that causes people to take action or drop off, will win — in any enterprise you could think of.
Read that again. We’ll wait.
All of those goals mentioned above? They all starts with understanding the psychology of those you need to influence. The old way of thinking about influence and persuasion is so, well, old. Passe. Archaic, actually. The true innovators have long moved on. Those businesses and organisations that still rely on projecting their own internal logic on customers often wind up leaving them unpersuaded and sometimes even worse.
Are they stubborn or do they just not know better? Are you one of them? If so, what’s your excuse? We can help you change. And change you must.
Over the past few decades, behavioural scientists have produced a revolution in our understanding of human cognition, and a small number of pioneering businesses have gained broad-ranging and in-depth experience with creating value based on those insights in fast-paced business environments. The best of these pioneer-businesses is SUE Behavioural Design and this masterclass will be delivered by one of their master trainers, Tim Versnel.
A masterclass in behavioural design for business leaders and innovators
Through a deep synthesis of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, SUE Behavioural Design have developed the revolutionary SUE | Behavioural Design Method©. In this masterclass, participants will learn the secrets of the method and gain bucketloads of inspiration, fascinating stories to share, and a clear understanding of how behavioural design could accelerate their own enterprise.
The masterclass consists of two three-hour sessions offered at a special introductory rate of £499. The masterclass will be delivered on subsequent Wednesdays - 22 June and 6 July 2022, running 13:00-16:00 (BST) on both days.
Part I - Wednesday 22 June 2022, 13:00-16:00 (BST)
- The Foundation: the patterns of human irrationality: How does human cognition work? What is the current knowledge about our irrationality? What does it mean for how we should lead, manage, innovate and do business?
- The Behavioural Design Canvas - discovering opportunities to create psychological value: If the key to creating real psychological value that gets people to take action is to take an outside-in perspective, then how does one do that in a way that’s effective and practical?
Part II - Wednesday 6 July 2022, 13:00-16:00 (BST)
- The SWAC-Model - designing effective persuasion and behaviour change: What are the levers that subconsciously determine our behaviour? How can we apply those insights into the mechanics of cognitive bias in a practical design process that you and your teams will love?
